Hello, and welcome to the October edition of our monthly newsletter.
First of all, thank you again to everyone for your lovely messages and kind words with the arrival of Elliott into our lives in September. As life gets a little busier for the both of us, we have decided to cut back our Mums & Bubs park yoga sessions to run only once a week. As we juggle work, family and yoga- at this point in time something had to give. Just give it a year or two and we will be back to running multiple classes a week, as this is our passion. We love providing affordable, practical and blissful yoga for everyone in our community! Also- as we navigate through this busy period we might cut back the number of newsletters we send out (which might be welcome news to some!).
Mums & Bubs classes are run outside the Grange Library. The class is only $5 and we stay for coffee and chats after, so it’s a lovely way to mingle with other like minded individuals. We even have an onsite babysitter to watch your kiddies, or they can get involved in the stretches too! Bliss!
- Wednesday @ 9:30am – 10:15am
**Remember this class is open to EVERYONE, not just mums. Bring your Mum, sister, brother, husband, neighbour …whoever you want! It’s important to remember though that we welcome babies, toddlers and kids…so be prepared for some extra noise and little people running around 🙂
Just a reminder that unfortunately we don’t have eftpos facilities available at this time. So please remember to bring cash or do a bank transfer for your passes. Just ask us for bank details if you don’t have them already (p.s. Our bank details have changed, so if you regularly transfer money for yoga make sure you get the updated details!!!)
THIS MONTH’S TOP STORIES
Changing up our mindset to manifest the life we dream of.
Using your mind to manifest your dreams…sounds a bit wanky right? But hear us out! There are some really useful ways you can begin to change your mindset to turn your dreams into reality. They work. Promise.
Become goal oriented- planning and setting goals for yourself is a fabulous place to start. Write them down on paper, or make a note of it on your phone. Refer back to it every few months to ensure you’re still on track to achieve what you want. (Remember to break down bigger goals into little achievable bite sized chunks. You will get there eventually!)
Soak up the power of positivity- you just have to start to believe in yourself lovely! I know it’s not always easy, especially when life isn’t going the way you planned or you failed at something. But remember that each failure is a lesson. Believe in yourself and the universe around you and good things will start to happen.
Get passionate- Figure out what it is that makes you want to leap out of bed each morning and follow that passion! Don’t be afraid to fail, accept the challenge and learn from each hurdle. You will feel more fulfilled in everything you do.
Don’t be afraid to fail- I’ve said it above, but it’s so important! No matter how much you believe in yourself or how passionate you are, know that failure will happen. Everyone has failed, but it’s how you move on and don’t give up that matters. Be bold, daring and never give up.
Be grateful- we bang on about being grateful so much don’t we!? But it’s truly life changing. Each day think about or write down 3 things you are grateful for, or has made you appreciative of the day. Some days will be confronting and challenging, but it’s good to remember that each situation has a silver lining. The more you practice gratitude in your life the more you start to focus on what’s good instead of everything that’s bad.
These simple things have truly turned around our lives, particularly when we have been stuck head down feeling lost and vulnerable. We hope these little tips help you to manifest the life of your dreams too.
Something a little extra….
What I wish I knew as a first time mum.
It’s no doubt that becoming a mother is utterly life changing. The sleepless nights and groundbreaking love for another little soul is just the beginning, but there are a few things I wish I could go back and tell myself as a first time mum….
This too shall pass. Those sleepless nights can hit real hard. I get it. We’ve all been there- frustrated at our little ones for not sleeping! Just remember they are not doing it to spite you, they just need your love and attention right now. It will pass …eventually.
Everyone will give you advice, but what you choose to do with it is up to you. Take what you want from all of this advice and politely smile at all the other stuff. If there was only one way to parent it would be simple …so listen to your gut instinct mama, you know what’s best for you and your family.
Cut yourself some slack. You have just been through something so utterly life changing. You grew a baby for 9 months, then you gave birth. No matter what kind of birth you had, there is recovery. Take it slow, ask for help and enjoy snuggling your baby just a little longer. You won’t regret any of it.
I know it can feel like your whole life has been flipped on its head, and your “old” life as you know it is gone. But honestly, life with this new baby is SO MUCH BETTER than you could have ever imagined. They will bring you so much joy, love and happiness.
